Baseball Recap: Orono Takes a Loss

If Orono was feeling good fresh off their 14-4 takedown of George Stevens Academy last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Riots fell 9-4 to the Foxcroft Academy Ponies on Monday. The Riots haven't had much luck with the Ponies recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Orono now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Foxcroft Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orono will host Bucksport at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Bucks will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Riots surely won't give up without a fight. As for Foxcroft Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Piscataquis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
