Recap: Harlem Bulldogs vs. Lakeside Panthers
The Harlem Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Lakeside 60-21. While losing is never fun, Harlem can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Lakeside is ranked 35th).
Kobi Barnes was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds for Lakeside. That makes it two consecutive games in which Barnes has scored at least 25% of Lakeside's points. Another player making a difference was Asunti Porter, who scored 19 points along with 3 steals.
Harlem's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Lakeside, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Harlem will head out on the road to face off against Greenbrier at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Lakeside, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Augusta Christian at 6:00 p.m. Augusta Christian is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
