Winner had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They managed an 18-14 victory over the Hot Springs Bison. The win was familiar territory for the Warriors, who have now won 13 games in a row dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Hot Springs lost, don't look at Connor Kramer. Despite the final result, he rushed for 58 yards and one touchdown, and also picked up 38 receiving yards. Kramer showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 64 yards. Clancy Koupal got in on the action as well, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winner will venture away from home to face off against Wagner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Hot Springs, they are headed away from home for the first time to take on Miller/Highmore/Harrold at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
