Football Game Preview: St. Francis Borgia Knights vs. Holt Indians + Official Tickets

The St. Francis Borgia Knights will head out to square off against the Holt Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, St. Francis Borgia didn't have quite enough to beat Father Tolton and fell 24-21.

Meanwhile, Holt waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 24-14 victory over the Warriors. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but the Indians were the (much) better team in the second half.

St. Francis Borgia better keep an eye on Ivan Dean. He was instrumental in Holt's win, rushing for 109 yards and one TD, while also throwing for 134 yards and a pair of touchdowns. They are 2-1 when Dean posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 1-2 otherwise. Holt also got a significant boost from Austin Hofmeister, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.

Holt was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

St. Francis Borgia's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Holt, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

St. Francis Borgia strolled past Holt in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-7. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Dean, who rushed for 84 yards and one score on only ten carries, and also threw for 176 yards on ten of 24 attempts.
