Basketball Recap: Buchanan Makes It Three in a Row on the Road

Buchanan extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Katie Ailes. The Buchanan Bucks simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat the Benton Harbor Tigers 55-15 thanks in part to Ailes, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. She is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for four straight games.

Alyssa Carson was another key player, putting up 15 points along with six boards and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played.

Buchanan's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Benton Harbor, they are on a 15-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Buchanan has already played their next matchup (against Michigan Lutheran), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Benton Harbor will take on Hackett Catholic Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hackett Catholic Prep will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Benton Harbor surely won't give up without a fight.
