The Cedar Bluff Tigers will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Cedar Bluff duked it out withSpring Garden last Monday. Cedar Bluff came up short against Spring Garden, falling 71-49. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 356th, while the Panthers are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, Jacksonville Christian Academy entered their tilt with Woodland on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Bobcats, posting an 82-46 win. The Thunder have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season.

Jacksonville Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.3 points per game. As for Cedar Bluff, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Cedar Bluff strolled past Jacksonville Christian Academy in their previous matchup on December 2nd by a score of 71-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cedar Bluff since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
