Calvary Chapel Christian Academy easily dispatched McCauley Christian Academy last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Calvary Chapel Christian Academy Archangels fell just short of the Vanguard Christian Knights by a score of 46-43 on Thursday. The Archangels' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Several Archangels players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nash Avitia, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
