Gilbert Christian had won two straight home games and Kaila Aston did her part to make it three on Monday. The Gilbert Christian Knights enjoyed a cozy 45-27 victory over the San Tan Foothills Sabercats thanks in part to Aston, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 15 boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in January of 2024.

Another player making a difference was Addie Hansen, who put up nine points and five boards. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played.

Despite the loss, San Tan Foothills still got an impressive performance from Cienna Witcher, who scored 12 points and six rebounds. That was a full 44.4% of San Tan Foothills' points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Gilbert Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. As for San Tan Foothills, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
