Volleyball Recap: Murrieta Valley's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

Murrieta Valley had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chaparral Pumas. This was a revenge game for the Nighthawks: when they faced off against the Pumas last Saturday, they had to take a 2-0 defeat.

Murrieta Valley's got stronger as the match went on, holding Chaparral to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-23, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Chaparral lost, don't look at Shay Roddy. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and four aces. Roddy has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last six times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Doan, who had 14 assists and eight digs.

Murrieta Valley's win bumped their record up to 14-10. As for Chaparral, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-11 record.
