Basketball Recap: Kenton Comes Up Short

Kenton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 59-43 to the Pleasant Spartans. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Spartans from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Lathan Mccants continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Pleasant, going 8-for-16 en route to 21 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Lowry, who posted seven points and five boards.

Kenton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Pleasant, their victory bumped their record up to 8-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant, they will take on Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Shelby's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches.
