Softball Game Preview: Klein Oak Panthers vs. Magnolia West Mustangs

The Klein Oak Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Magnolia West Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Klein Oak is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Tomball just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to the Cougars. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this contest were averaging 3.57 runs allowed.

Klein Oak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Lacour, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Magnolia West fell victim to Tomball and their airtight pitching crew last Tuesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 11-0. That makes it the first time this season the Mustangs have let down their home crowd.

Klein Oak's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Magnolia West, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
