Volleyball Recap: Carbon Dinos vs. Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle
Carbon proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Dinos in their matchups with the Soaring Eagle: they've now won three in a row.
Carbon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 20-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-19, 18-16.

Carbon found their leader in sophomore Grant Mathis, who had 12 digs and three aces. Those 12 digs set a new season-high mark for Mathis.
