Basketball Game Preview: Owen Warhorses vs. Madison Patriots

The Owen Warhorses will challenge the Madison Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Owen is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Avery County on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Owen was dealt a 66-27 loss at the hands of Avery County. The defeat continues a trend for the Warhorses in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Madison took a blow against Mountain Heritage on Friday, falling 60-31. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 372nd, while the Cougars are ranked 75th).

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Owen, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-19.
