After flying high against Hayesville last Monday, Copper Basin came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the Sale Creek Panthers by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. The Cougars' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Kloie Ballew and Riley Akens did some serious damage despite the final result: Ballew scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2, while Akens scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
