A Season-Best Effort from Dontrell Mims Leads Hoke County over Southern Lee
Hoke County was led to victory by Dontrell Mims, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mims picked up 5.5 sacks and made ten total tackles.
Hoke County moved to 2-6 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Mims and Hoke County will head out on the road to challenge Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Zymire Spencer Goes Supernova in Pinecrest Win
Zymire Spencer continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game with at least 127 rushing yards. He rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 87 yards.
Lee County's probably not too fond of Spencer given he always seems to get the better of them. Spencer rushed for 228 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry the last time he and the Yellow Jackets duked it out back in October of 2023.

Chris Najm Makes It Two for Pinecrest
Another Pinecrest player making an appearance on this list is Chris Najm. He rushed for 122 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries.
For the year, Najm has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 98.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had five rushing touchdowns.

Sims Made His Presence Known in Southern Lee's 20-14 Loss
While Southern Lee might've come up empty on Friday, Robert Sims wasn't going down without a fight. Sims turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 61 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 101 yards and a touchdown.
Southern Lee is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5. Sims and Southern Lee will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union Pines at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
