Soccer Recap: Williston Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Williston can now relate to. They fell 3-1 to the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 332nd, while the Eagles are ranked 126th).

Williston's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Williston does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they will take on Maclay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Maclay has won seven straight at home, while Episcopal School of Jacksonville won five straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
