Football Recap: Hoffman Estates' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hoffman Estates strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 28-21 win over the New Trier Trevians.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hoffman Estates to victory, but perhaps none more so than Austin Lezniak, who threw for 215 yards and three touchdowns. Lezniak is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Hoffman Estates' leading receiver Torey Baskin was Lezniak's top target yet again, picking up 123 receiving yards and one score.

Hoffman Estates' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for New Trier, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.

Coming up, Hoffman Estates will head out to take on Evanston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for New Trier, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fremd at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Trevians will need to watch out since the Vikings have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
