Baseball Recap: East Lee County Comes Up Short at Home Against Cape Coral

East Lee County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 21-1 to the Cape Coral Seahawks on Tuesday. The Jaguars have struggled against the Seahawks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

East Lee County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jax Filler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Lee County is headed away from home for the first time to take on Everglades City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cape Coral, they will head out to face off against Lehigh at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
