With a playoff win on the line, Ripon Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Beyer Patriots. The win was nothing new for the Knights as they're now sitting on six straight.
While Ripon Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Beyer scored at least 22 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23.
Ripon Christian found their leader in sophomore Ian Brown, who had seven digs and three aces.
Beyer's loss came despite strong showings from Cruz Hibbard and Hayes Terry. Hibbard had three digs and two aces, while Terry had six digs and one block. Hibbard has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last five times he's played.
Ripon Christian pushed their record up to 25-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Beyer, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 21-8.
Ripon Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against River Valley on the 6th. Beyer does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
