Softball Recap: Kennedy Takes a Loss

Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They came up short against the Shafter Generals, falling 14-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thunderbirds of the 20-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Kennedy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leticia Gonzalez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Kennedy's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Shafter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4-1.

While Kennedy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
