The Westminster Academy Lions will square off against the West Port Wolf Pack at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Westminster Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so West Port's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Alena Ishman made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, West Port let Brooklyn Schoepke and Ashley Zimmerman run wild. West Port kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Poinciana only managed two hits.

Westminster Academy has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. West Port's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7.
