Volleyball Recap: Carly Stevens Key Part of Team Effort in Warriors Win

Christian Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Henryville Hornets. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

While Christian Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Carly Stevens led the charge by getting four digs and three aces. The dominant performance also gave Stevens a new career-high in assists (three). Aiana Rightnowar was another key player, getting eight digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Christian Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Henryville only served two aces.

When it comes to explaining why Henryville lost, don't look at Ella Logsdon. Despite the final result, she had six kills and six blocks.

The win got Christian Academy back to even at 1-1.

Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Trinity Lutheran on the 21st. As for Henryville, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Scottsburg on the 21st.
