Recap: Gruver Greyhounds vs. Booker Kiowas
The Gruver Greyhounds had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.5 points), and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 69-48 margin over Booker. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Gruver has posted against Booker since January 30, 2015.
Several Kiowas players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Xavier Aguilera, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Hagen Chisum, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Gruver has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. As for Booker, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.
Gruver will head out on the road to face off against Sunray at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Booker, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sanford-Fritch at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sanford-Fritch is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
