Basketball Game Preview: Meadowbrook Colts vs. Maysville Panthers

Meadowbrook and Maysville are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2017, but not for long. The Meadowbrook Colts will host the Maysville Panthers at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Wednesday, Meadowbrook was beaten by West Muskingum 59-26. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 612th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 205th).

Meanwhile, Maysville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against New Lexington on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 50-46 win.

Maysville has also been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for Meadowbrook, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Things could have been worse for Meadowbrook, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-40 loss to Maysville when the teams last played back in December of 2024.
