After flying high against Milford on Thursday, Smyrna came back down to earth. The Eagles fell 3-1 to the Cape Henlopen Vikings on Saturday. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Smyrna's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Cape Henlopen, the victory snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Smyrna is set to challenge their familiar foe Sussex Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Cape Henlopen will take on rival Dover at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
