Volleyball Recap: Wimberley Texans vs. Salado Eagles

Wimberley had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Salado Eagles 3-0 on Tuesday. The Texans are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 13 straight.

While Wimberley won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-11, 25-22.

Wimberley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rhagen Masur, who had nine digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Herring, who had three digs and 16 assists.

Wimberley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 27 of their last 28 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 41-3 record this season. As for Salado, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 40-8 record.

Wimberley is on the road again on Friday to play Randall at 4:00 p.m. Randall will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Wimberley surely won't give up without a fight. Salado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
