Football Recap: Browne Bruins vs. Ironwood Eagles
Browne couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ironwood Eagles. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2023.
Although Browne took the loss, they still got scores from Courtney Pennington and Carlos Quinonez.
Khavontae Paul had a dynamite game for Ironwood, rushing for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.6 yards per carry. Paul's longest rush was for an incredible 75 yards.
Browne will be playing at home against Maricopa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Ironwood, they will host Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
