Softball Recap: Wahkiakum Mules vs. Ocosta Wildcats
Wahkiakum had lost four straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 2-10-1 to make it five. They came up short against the Ocosta Wildcats, falling 22-3. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-2 loss back in April.
Amy Horman and Evy Hogue did some serious damage despite the final result: Horman went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run, while Hogue went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
As for Ocosta, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 17.3 runs.
On Ocosta's side, Joanah Rosander made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits.
