Volleyball Recap: Silver Lake Regional Takes a Loss

Silver Lake Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Hingham Harbormen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Harbormen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 last Monday.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Hingham scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22.

Silver Lake Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Hingham, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

Silver Lake Regional has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Brockton on the 9th. As for Hingham, they will head out on the road to face off against Milton at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. The Harbormen are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
