Football Game Preview: Notre Dame-Green Pond Crusaders vs. Northern Lehigh Bulldogs

Notre Dame-Green Pond has gone 6-1 against Northern Lehigh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Crusaders will head out to take on the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Notre Dame-Green Pond is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.

Notre Dame-Green Pond's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Catasauqua 58-0. Given the Crusaders' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Rough Riders are ranked 348th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Matt Bodnar continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 357 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per attempt. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 17 passing touchdowns on the season. CJ Diaz was in the mix too, providing Notre Dame-Green Pond with two TDs.

Notre Dame-Green Pond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jackson Wallace, Drew Boyd, and Alex Clark picked up one apiece. Clark got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Northern Lehigh, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They came out on top against Palmerton by a score of 37-25 on Friday.

Northern Lehigh now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Notre Dame-Green Pond, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Notre Dame-Green Pond against Northern Lehigh when the teams last played back in September of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-19 victory. In that matchup, the Crusaders amassed a halftime lead of 21-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
