Baseball Recap: Plattsburgh Victorious

While Plattsburgh's win against Beekmantown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Eagles on Thursday. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Dominic DeAngelo was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances. He has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last 15 times he's played. Braeden Calkins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Plattsburgh's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Beekmantown, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Plattsburgh will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 p.m. on Saturday.
