East Central extends road losing streak to four

Recap: East Central Hornets vs. George County Rebels

The East Central Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 58-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of George County. East Central lost against George County in their previous head to head last Tuesday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-52 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why East Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cartavious Myers. Despite the final result, he scored 17 points. Brody Howard was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.

East Central's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5. As for George County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 3-6 record this season.

East Central will be playing at home against Pearl River Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George County, they will head out on the road to face off against Stone at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stone presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than George County in Mississippi (Stone is ranked 66th, while George County is ranked 243rd).
