Baseball Recap: Midwest Central Comes Up Short

Midwest Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Peoria Heights Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Raiders of the 11-10 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Midwest Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Peoria Heights, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

Looking ahead, Midwest Central will head out to challenge Knoxville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Peoria Heights, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 8-3 loss against Princeville on the 31st.
