Volleyball Recap: Glencoe Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Glencoe was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Hokes Bluff last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Alexandria Valley Cubs by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their meetings with the Valley Cubs: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, Glencoe saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Avery Barkley had ten assists and eight digs.

Glencoe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Alexandria, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Glencoe has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Jacksonville on the 26th. After both having extra time off, Alexandria and Hokes Bluff will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
