Football Game Preview: Rogers Pirates vs. Geraldine Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Rogers Pirates will challenge the Geraldine Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Rogers has given up an average of 32 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Rogers after they put the first points on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They took a 42-27 bruising from Lexington. While the Pirates didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Golden Bears 7-0 in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, Geraldine came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.3 points), and they left with even more momentum. They enjoyed a cozy 42-25 win over the Eagles.

Geraldine found their leader in sophomore Jon Beck Wade, who rushed for 164 yards and one TD, and also threw for 97 yards and three touchdowns on only six passes. Beck Wade's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.

Geraldine was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 357 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 270 rushing yards in five consecutive matchups.

Rogers' defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Geraldine, their record is now 9-1.
