Laeloni Tobey leads a balanced attack to beat Wells

The McDermitt Bulldogs can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Saturday. They put the hurt on Wells with a sharp 58-34 win. The victory was familiar territory for McDermitt who now have four in a row.

McDermitt's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Laeloni Tobey, who scored eight points along with six steals and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Tobey grabbed two or more steals. Vina Tom was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with two steals.

Wells' loss came despite strong showings from Khloe DelRio and Lillian Harney. DelRio scored 17 points, while Harney scored 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. That was a full 35.3% of Wells' points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

McDermitt pushed their record up to 7-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Wells, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Coincidentally, McDermitt and Wells will both be playing Eureka the next time they take the court. Wells will host Eureka at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, while McDermitt will host them at 1:00 p.m. on January 19th.
