Softball Game Preview: Curie Condors vs. Kennedy Crusaders

The Curie Condors are taking a road trip to square off against the Kennedy Crusaders at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Curie comes in on five and Kennedy on three.

Curie's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Kelly. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, Kennedy got the win against Kenwood on Friday by a conclusive 17-0. Considering the Crusaders have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Jaida Rebolledo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Shanelle McBride, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Kennedy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Curie's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, their record is now 8-4.

Curie came up short against Kennedy in their previous meeting on April 3rd, falling 14-9. Can the Condors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
