Mission Bay lost to Lincoln on October 2nd, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Buccaneers.

Mission Bay had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-22, 25-11, 25-18.

Mission Bay found their leader in sophomore Ema Redzepagic, who had six digs and two aces.

Mission Bay's win bumped their record up to 20-15. As for Lincoln, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

Mission Bay and Lincoln could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Buccaneers will take on Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (301 vs. 117). Meanwhile, Lincoln (ranked 494th) will meet Point Loma (ranked 131st) at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday.
