Ferndale came into Wednesday's game looking for another win against Portage, but Kylie Hess wouldn't allow it. The Mustangs came out on top against the Yellow Jackets by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday with plenty of help from Hess, who had 25 digs and seven aces. Hess is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 13 every time she's taken the court this season.

Portage had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-18, 26-24, 25-11.

The victory got Portage back to even at 2-2. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Portage didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Conemaugh Valley on the 4th. As for Ferndale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against United on the 8th.
