Volleyball Recap: Addison Boudreaux and Yvette Olivier Secure Win for Acadiana Christian

Acadiana Christian won the last time they faced John Paul the Great Academy and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Guardians. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Acadiana Christian's got stronger as the match went on, holding John Paul the Great Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-15, 25-11.

Acadiana Christian was led to victory by Yvette Olivier and Addison Boudreaux. Olivier had 21 assists and six digs, while Boudreaux had eight digs. Olivier has been hot for a while, having posted 13 or more assists the last 28 times she's played.

Acadiana Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Several Guardians players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Therese Friddell, who had five kills and five digs.

Acadiana Christian's record now sits at 12-1-1. As for John Paul the Great Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Acadiana Christian will take on Bishop Noland Episcopal Day at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. John Paul the Great Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
