Basketball Recap: Pope Francis Prep Comes Up Short

Pope Francis Prep suffered their closest loss since February 2, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Putnam Vo-Tech Beavers by a score of 73-70. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cardinals came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked seventh, while the Beavers are ranked 65th).

Pope Francis Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 16-3. As for Putnam Vo-Tech, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-7.

As of now, neither Pope Francis Prep nor Putnam Vo-Tech have any future games scheduled.
