Basketball Recap: Navajo Pine Comes Up Short

Navajo Pine was the 65-48 winner over Laguna Acoma when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Navajo Pine Warriors might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 69-49 to the Laguna Acoma Hawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Warriors' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Despite the loss, Navajo Pine still got an impressive performance from Dayshaun Chee, who went 6 of 11 en route to 14 points. Chad Tsosie was another key player, putting up nine points.

Navajo Pine's record is now 2-14. As for Laguna Acoma, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Navajo Pine will square off against Rehoboth Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Laguna Acoma, they will take on Hozho Academy at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
