Recap: Adams City Eagles vs. Northglenn Norsemen
The Adams City Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell to Northglenn 39-34. Adams City was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Northglenn apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Adams City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Morgan Williams, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Williams hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Arianna Hernandez was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with seven rebounds.
Adams City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Northglenn, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-3-1.
Adams City will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2024. As for Northglenn, they will head out on the road to face off against Thornton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Thornton is ranked 217th, while Northglenn is ranked 199th).
