Volleyball Recap: Cloverdale Comes Up Short

After a string of three wins, Cloverdale's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Kelseyville Knights by a score of 3-2. If the Eagles were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Knights when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Cloverdale took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 16-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-8.

Cloverdale's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 12-7. As for Kelseyville, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cloverdale will take on rival Lower Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kelseyville is set to face off against their familiar foe Fort Bragg at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
