Baseball Recap: Quanah Takes a Loss

Quanah was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wellington Skyrockets.

Quanah saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Prather Parr, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Parr is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Quanah's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wellington, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Looking ahead, Quanah will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Lockney at 5:00 p.m. Lockney has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something Quanah will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wellington, they are taking a road trip to face off against Floydada at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Floydada will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Wellington surely won't give up without a fight.
