The Fountain Valley Danes will take on the Calhan Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fountain Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.3 points per game this season.

Fountain Valley will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating Thomas MacLaren School, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Fountain Valley breezed past Thomas MacLaren School to the tune of 73-40 on Thursday. With the Danes ahead 37-14 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Fountain Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nick Prantl led the charge by putting up 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden Lopez-Hardy, who posted 15 points.

Meanwhile, Calhan waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They had just enough and edged the War Eagles out 54-51. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since December 15, 2023.

Calhan's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points over those games. As for Fountain Valley, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Fountain Valley beat Calhan 52-40 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Calhan's Patrick Glaser, who scored 21 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Fountain Valley still be able to contain Glaser? There's only one way to find out.
