Monticello and Orange County are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fighting Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Monticello is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since September 13, 2024 last Friday. They had to suffer through a 40-3 loss at the hands of Western Albemarle.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Orange County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on September 12th. They had just enough and edged out Goochland 25-22. The Fighting Hornets haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Monticello better keep an eye on Judah Brownley. He was instrumental in Orange County's win, rushing for 109 yards on only ten carries.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Orange County, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.

Monticello couldn't quite finish off Orange County in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 and fell 34-31. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
