Basketball Recap: Wells Leopards vs. Eureka Vandals
Wells suffered their biggest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Friday. They lost 43-21 to the Eureka Vandals. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Vandals recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Megan Johnson was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds for Eureka. That's the most boards Johnson has posted since back in February of 2024. Hannah Bliss also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.
Wells' loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Eureka, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
Wells has already played their next game (against Lund), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Eureka wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 45-5 win against Jackpot on the 18th.
