Football Game Preview: Ridgedale Rockets vs. Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets

The Ridgedale Rockets will head out to challenge the Cory-Rawson Fighting Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Ridgedale is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against North Baltimore on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Rockets were beaten by the Tigers 42-12. The Rockets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.

Although Ridgedale took the loss, they still got scores from Jj Slaughterbeck and Ayden Salyer.

Meanwhile, Cory-Rawson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 57-14 loss at the hands of Perry.

Cory-Rawson's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ridgedale, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Ridgedale strolled past Cory-Rawson when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 20-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
