Baseball Recap: Galena Bears vs. New Covenant Academy Warriors
Galena had lost four straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 7-7 to make it five. They came up short against the New Covenant Academy Warriors, falling 12-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered since May 22, 2024.
Wyatt Doak was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Cody Jones was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
